Biju Odayammatath
Project Coordinator, Pazhassi Raja Tribal School
Biju Odayammatath is VOC’s Project Coordinator for the Pazhassi Raja Tribal School. In that capacity, he is the communications link between on-site Project Director, and the VOC Board. He also promotes the project and organizes promotional and community events.
Biju holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and is the Global Engineering Manager at Western Digital Corporation.
Sija Krishnan
Fundraising Coordinator
Sija is a strong believer in giving back to the community. A volunteer with VOC since 2013, Sija leads our fund-raising activities, with particular focus on the Pazhassi Raja Tribal School project. She is responsible for defining our fund-raising strategy and executing it in conjunction with the rest of the team. She led VOC’s fund-raising team during two highly successful Sevathon events (2013 and 2014). She also led the team during the grand Carnatic Music fund-raiser concert that we organized in November 2013.
Sija holds a Master’s Degree in Software Engineering and is a Business Analyst at McAfee. She is also a keen exponent of Carnatic music and gives music lessons to scores of young enthusiasts in San Francisco Bay area.
Seena Shankar
Event Coordinator
Seena Shankar is VOC’s coordinator for the marketing and fundraising. She promotes the VOC brand through community events and media consulting. She directs the content management of the VOC website and presents the objectives and philosophy of VOC to the corporate clients.
Seena has a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and works as a Staff Engineer at Xilinx Corporation.
Deepu Sugathan
Public Relations Coordinator
Deepu has organized various events as part of Kerala Club California organization for over 6 years and was their main spokesperson during his time with them. A volunteer with VOC since 2013, Deepu is responsible for planning, development and implementation of the marketing communication and public relations activities, with particular focus on Pazhassi Raja Tribal School project.
Deepu is a project manager by profession.
Athira Pratap
Youth Lead
As one who loves to fight for what she believes in, Athira Pratap, Voice of A Child’s Youth Leader since 2014, helps advocate for children’s rights, especially their rights to education and hopes to create a spotlight on the Pazzassi Raja Tribal School Project. Athira is responsible for bringing in other youth volunteers to support the projects executed by VOC and for establishing relationships with organizations that represent youth and creating partnerships with them.
As an experienced team leader, Athira has been striving to give back to the community since her childhood by participating and leading various dance fundraisers and productions as well as volunteering in organizations like the Abode Homeless Shelter. Athira is also a well-accomplished classical dancer, and is currently a senior at Moreau Catholic High School in Hayward, CA.
