Successful Sevathon 2025
We are beyond grateful for the amazing support we received this year. Team VOC showed up strong with 49 registered runners — making us the fourth-largest team among 25+ incredible nonprofits! A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth to learn more about our mission. Your interest, encouragement, and words of support mean the world to us. Special shoutout to our wonderful leads — Saritha Valiyaparambil, with the incredible support of Senthil Palanisami, Pari Subramaniyam, and Sija Krishnan — for guiding our team with so much passion and energy.

Voice Of a Child is proud to partner with India Community Center (ICC) at Sevathon 2025, their 17th annual 5K – 10K – 1K (Tiny Trots) – Yogathon event! Sevathon is scheduled to take place on Sunday, September 28th, 2025 at Baylands Park in Sunnyvale (San Francisco Bay Area).
What is Sevathon?
Sevathon is an India Community Center (ICC) initiative that helps nonprofit organizations like ours to fundraise for our causes, and your registrations and contributions will help benefit Voice Of a Child’s initiatives.
How to Register?
Registering for Sevathon, choosing the event you want to participate in, and supporting Voice Of a Child is easy.
Go to https://runsignup.com/Race/CA/LosGatos/ICCSevathon and follow the straightforward registration process. During registration, please select Voice of a Child from the drop-down menu as your supported charity.
Register before July 15, 2025 to avail early bird pricing.
This event not only promotes fitness and well-being but also empowers you to support Voice Of a Child and a cause that truly resonates with your beliefs. We invite you to register and participate in Sevathon 2025, all while helping us raise funds for Voice Of a Child. 100% of your donations go directly to fund our projects.

Target Projects for Sevathon 2025
Funds raised during Sevathon 2025 will be used to support three projects.
(i) Abha Seva Sadan Hospital, West Bengal, India
Established in 1963, Abha Seva Sadan Hospital currently serves over 100,000 people from 85 surrounding villages, providing essential healthcare services to this marginalized community located in one of the most impoverished and underdeveloped regions of India. For the villagers, this hospital is a vital lifeline for their medical needs, as the nearest alternative hospital is 25 kilometers away. VOC has partnered with the hospital to improve the facilities.
(ii) White Lotus School, Jarabulus, Syria
Empower Syrian refugee children with life skills for the future. The border town of Jarabulus is host to more than 150,000 refugees. In 2023, VOC partnered with the local community to establish White Lotus Computer Technology Institute and White Lotus Kindergarten, ensuring a brighter future for the children and young adults within the refugee community.
(iii) Evergreen School, Kerala, India
Despite Kerala’s high literacy rates, quality education is often unaffordable. Evergreen School near Kozhikode, Kerala, has filled this gap since 2006. Established by Voice of a Child and the Neo-Humanist Education Charitable Trust, Evergreen offers affordable, holistic education up to 7th grade. Evergreen School seeks donations to expand its impact, upgrade infrastructure, and support low-income families. Your contribution can make a valuable difference for some of Kerala’s most deserving children.
