Sevathon-2014

We are delighted to report that Sevathon-2014 was an unprecedented success.

Our team had a total of 108 runners! Together we raised over $9000, all of which will go towards supporting the operating expenses of Pazhassi Raja Tribal School, Wayanad, Kerala.

Our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who ran as part of our team, who donated to our cause and to the team of volunteers who made it all happen.

Our thanks also goes to India Community Center and the Sevathon organizing team.

Looking forward to Sevathon-2015!!!

Pictures from Sevathon-2014 event are on our Facebook page.

Summary from the Sevathon-2013 event:

This was our first time at Sevathon, an annual run/walk event conducted by India Community Center (ICC) based in the SF bay area. We registered 66 runners/walkers and raised close to $18,000 at the event. The funds were raised to benefit the education projects that we support in India. Over 100 non-profits and 3500 runners participated in the event. It was humbling to see that we were among the top 3 non-profits in terms of the funds raised as well as number of unique donors. We have completed distributing the funds raised at Sevathon to the 3 projects in India.

Thanks very much to all our friends and supporters for the overwhelming support. Thanks also to ICC for the providing the Sevathon platform that allowed us to greatly expand the awareness about our causes. Looking forward to Sevathon-2014. Go Team VOC!
